A Wishbone Bike teaches kids to ride with ease and confidence
Wishbone Bike is a Multi Award Winning balance bike sensation and here’s why. This revolutionary design grows with your child assisting them through milestones to ultimately ride a push bike in the easiest way possible. Starting at 12 months the seat can be removed from the trike to assist children to walk. A few months later the seat can be reattached and the child can use the bike as a trike; gaining greater control over stirring with a sturdy frame beneath them.
As your child acquires more confidence and stability (approximately 2.5-3 years) the trike converts to a balance bike or commonly known as a running bike. Now your child begins to learn to balance. Unlike training wheels, Wishbone bikes recognise that is is easier to learn to balance before pedalling. Put that way it’s crazy to think that most people learn pedal first right?
At 4-5 years the frame of the Wishbone Bike is flipped so that your child can experience maximum usage out of once of the largest balance bikes on the market. Seat height adjusts from 28-46cm. Such magnificent value!

A personal Wishbone Bike Story
We purchased a Wishbone Bike for our son at 14 months old. We weren’t aware that we could use the bike without the seat so he used the bike using his tip toes for 3 months (as he was a tiny boy). At 18 months he was whizzing around on his bike all day everyday. At 2.5 years we converted the trike to a balance bike and there was no stopping him. He started riding down hills and going on all sorts of adventures. 2 weeks shy of his 3rd birthday Santa brought him a pedal bike. My heart raced as I held my breath when my husband gave him a little push and shouted ‘pedal’. To my relief he did it. First go! No nasty crashes. No grazed knees. Just pure joy and pride radiating from him-and us. Although he has 2 bikes now both still get used and are loved as much as each other.
These days we have 3 Wishbone Bikes so that my twin daughters can also join us on our family rides. They like my son love their bikes. I cannot recommend Wishbone Bikes enough.
